POLICIES:
1. The intent of this bulletin board is to offer a meeting place for customers of BLAMBOT. Any radically off-topic or blatantly commercial posts are discouraged and will be removed. Members of the community may use the forum to promote their own creative endeavors, within reason, and only in designated areas.
2. Considering the real-time nature of this message board, it is impossible for the host to review all messages or confirm the validity of information posted. Please remember that we do not actively monitor the contents of posted messages and are not responsible for any messages posted. We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for the contents of any message. The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of this Forum or any entity associated with this Forum. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately by email. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, so please realize that we may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately.
3. You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this Forum to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violating any law.
4. This bulletin board will maintain a "Parents Strongly Cautioned, Some Material May Not Be Suitable for Children" level of content and conversation at all times, and this applies to posting of images and links as well. Administrators will make editorial and/or banning decisions based on this level of content.
5. Although we do not and cannot review all the messages posted and are not responsible for the content of any of these messages, we reserve the right to delete any message for any reason whatsoever. Messages that will be automatically deleted include but are not limited to: Off topic posts, duplicate posts, posts advertising products or services, and posts made in the wrong subforum (which will be moved to the proper subforum and deleted from the original subforum). All promotional posts must be clearly labeled as such, and are subject to review by the Forum host.
6. You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold BLAMBOT/Nate Piekos harmless with respect to any claim based upon transmission of your message(s). We reserve the right to reveal your identity (or whatever information we know about you) in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any message posted by you.
7. In an effort to combat spam and use of the forums for outside advertising and other unintended purposes, anyone who registers to use the ATLAND Forums and does not post at least one legitimate message, may be removed by the host or his administrator. This will also be applied to those whose Profile contains only a link to a strictly commercial website, such as a discount drug or adult pay site.
The member list will be reviewed frequently, and if necessary, "users" (who don't actually use the board) will be purged.
8. Registered members will not be permitted to re-register under a different persona(s). If administrators find reasonable proof (IP address or otherwise) that a member is engaging in this activity, all registered personas will be locked out and the user may be banned.
9. We also reserve the right to ban a user's IP address(es) from our board in the event that we find said user in violation of any of the above offenses.
10. This community is made up of many professional creators and aspiring creators, including the Host of this Forum. Nate Piekos/BLAMBOT – and all other visiting writers or artists – will not be responsible for similarities between your plots, stories, ideas or thoughts in any work later published by Piekos/BLAMBOT or other visiting creators. By participating in this Forum, you agree to indemnify and hold the Host harmless with respect to any claim based upon transmission of your plots, stories or ideas. Please use your own judgement and consider carefully before posting any story, plot or unpublished ideas in this Forum.
11. This board is provided to you for free by BLAMBOT/Nate Piekos. It is detrimental to the continuance of this board to post services that are in conflict with the services provided by blambot.com.
BEHAVIOR:
1. Your registration on this board must be approved by the administrator. There has been an inordinant amount of bogus profiles set up with links to inappropriate materials. In order to curb this, there is a new Admin Approval policy for all new profiles. Profiles are reviewed daily and those suspected of being bogus are deleted and/or banned. To avoid having your legitimate profile deleted, please consider filling out some of the personal info -- in essence, make it LOOK like you're a real human who's here for the right reasons.
2. If you register – please participate. Don't be shy. You can start by introducing yourself – we're a friendly bunch – and then, if there's no existing topics that interest you, start one of your own!
3. Be respectful of the Host and other users. You don't have to agree with everyone's opinions, but insults and name-calling will not be tolerated and may result in immediate banning from the board. Warnings may or may not be issued at the discretion of the host or his administrator.
4. Troll-like behavior will not be tolerated. If a user consistently acts in a provocative or disruptive way, they will be banned from the board. Warnings may or may not be issued at the discretion of the host or his administrator.
5.The host respectfully requests that all users please avoid discussions on the subjects of religion and politics. There are thousands of other places on the Internet that welcome and encourage such discussions, but the host finds them too inflammatory for the environment he's trying to maintain here. Please take such discussions elsewhere.
